Training services

As an organisation we take very seriously our role as a provider of quality staff training and development.

Wider Picture programme
Our presenters realise that teachers often require information from a variety of standpoints. For example, new personal and subject tutors may have little prior knowledge of reference writing and UCAS procedures; in marked contrast, experienced tutors will be seeking an authoritative update to supplement their existing knowledge of the subject. Our consultancy services can meet all these needs.

Apply training
UCAS Apply training is delivered by trainers at approved centres throughout the year, or can be delivered at your school or college as a bespoke session. Learning through hands-on experience has proved very popular, but if you prefer to have only a demonstration, this is also possible.

UCAS information direct from visiting universities and colleges

UCAS 2012 entry logo

Getting important application information out to those who need it is a priority for UCAS and we have recently launched a new campaign, aimed at outreach staff in universities and colleges. We recognise that they regularly visit local schools and colleges and deliver useful and engaging presentations and workshops. Our campaign provided these outreach professionals with standard, up-to-date UCAS branded presentational material. Look out for the UCAS year of entry logo for the reassurance that what you get as part of their presentation to you is the most up-to-date information available.

This service does not replace the existing professional development training sessions which are detailed above. The UCAS consultancy and training services that have been successfully running for a number of years, and regularly receive outstanding feedback from hundreds of schools and colleges across the UK, continue to provide opportunities to directly engage with UCAS. As part of the UCAS charity this service continues to exist on a fee and cost recovery basis.
